Before the ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and Bangladesh, Virat had 25,923 runs with 566 innings, and he achieved the milestone in the stadium of Pune with 134 half-centuries and 78 centuries. Thus, he has become the fourth-highest run scorer in the World Cup by passing Mahela Jayawardene (25,957).
Now Kohali has a total of 26,026 runs in 567 innings, and only three players are ahead of him: Ricky Ponting (27,483), Kumara Sangakkara (28,016), and Sachin Tendulkar (34,357).
When he debuted in the World Cup in 2011, Virat Kohli smashed an unbeaten century against Bangladesh, and yesterday, he made a record-breaking century again against Bangladesh.
