DOT is working on a Cell Broadcast Alert System, which will help the government to enhance emergency communication during disasters. That’s why there were testing it to gauge its efficiency and effectiveness.
This system will allow the government to send time-sensitive and critical messages to all mobile devices within a designated geographical area.
