Susan Wojcicki, who has been managing the CEO role at youtube for the past nine years, is stepping down, and Neal Mohan is taking the position of new Chief Executive Officer, who is also the Chief Product Officer of Alphabet‘s Youtube.

Wojcicki, who has served on youtube for around nine years, shared through one of her blog posts that she will now focus on her family, health, and personal projects, which she is passionate about. And now Neal Mohan is going to take her place.
Susan Wojcicki was also the senior vice president for products at Google and was appointed as the CEO of YouTube in 2014. Wojcicki was one of the earliest Google employees and was with google’s parent Alphabet for around 25 years. And before Google, she worked at Intel Corp and Bain & Company.
However, Mr. Neal Mohan, the new CEO of YouTube, worked at Accenture and Microsoft before he worked as CPO for YouTube. Mr. Neal Mohan is an Indian American and has done his Bachelor’s Degree in science from Stanford University and also an MBA Degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
