The capital of France, Paris, is facing an outbreak of bedbugs just ten months before the Summer Olympics 2024. The tiny pests were first spotted in the rental apartments and the hotels during the summer but are now spreading across the city. The Paris bedbugs are now seen in theatres and even on the Paris metro and high-speed trains.

Social media users are showing panic about this increasing outbreak of tiny Paris bedbugs and advising others by sharing videos on “X,” formerly known as Twitter, to check their seats before sitting on any public transport.
Transport minister of the country, Clement Beaune, has vowed to protect the country’s people by holding a meeting of all public transport operators. It has been said that the bedbug disappeared from France in the 1950s, but the sudden comeback of Paris Bedbugs is due to the high density of population and mass transportation.
Emmanuel Gregoire, Deputy Mayor of France, said these are not threatening the Olympic games. Bedbugs were also there earlier, and we need to work together to solve this situation and there will not be any bedbugs afterward.
