After smashing the 38 balls and 73 runs, Mayers said to the reporters that he was always dreamt about playing in IPL and wanted to show an excellent start to show his ability and what he was capable of. He said now he had shown his worth on his IPL 2023 Debut.
Kyle Mayers, who has been included in the team because of the absence of South African Opener Quinton De Kock, started slow. Still, when Delhi Capital introduced a spinner, he showed himself by going into attacking mode.

In IPL 2022, Kyle Mayers was part of Gujrat Titans in replacement for Jason Roy, but somehow he didn’t get the chance to show his ability. But Mayers said being a part of the winning team made him a better cricket player.
