Famous Web hosting Company Godaddy revealed Godaddy Hack. It said hackers hacked into their servers, installed malware on the network, and source code from the servers in multi-year trespass. Godaddy is working with law enforcement agencies and forensics worldwide for further investigation.
Godaddy said in its statement about Godaddy Hack, We have evidence, and Law enforcement agencies have confirmed that companies targeting Hosting Services like GoDaddy are behind this Multi-year Hack. Hackers’ Goal is to hack websites and servers with malware for phishing campaigns and other malware activities. Additionally, the company revealed to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the same hacking group was behind the hack found in our networks in March 2020.
The company knew about the hack in Dec 2022 when customers were complaining about the redirection of websites. After investigation, they found it happens on the CPanel shared hosting services. When they confirmed the hack, they took security measures and implemented additional security protocols on servers and customers’ data.
