It has been said that the public launch of Chinese based Erine Chatbot has been canceled due to heavy demand and is now live-streamed as a private launch. Robin Li, the CEO of the Chinese Search Engine Baidu, has said that they have to cancel the public launch of the Ernie and make it a private one because they have received a request from more than 120,000 companies to test this product.
So the Chinese company wants to satisfy the increasing demands of the companies and has set the launch to private. Baidu, who presented Erine as the ChatGPT rival, launched the chatbot on 16 March 2023 with many pre-captured demo presentations to the press and journalists. And shows the capabilities of the AI chatbot, which it is capable of—and announced a public launch this Monday.
But now they have taken a step back and moved to a private launch. After canceling the public launch of Ernie, the company has to face a fall of 4.5% in its share value while the product is still live-streamed in the private launch.
