As per the video, we can see Garon Maia, 42 years old, drinking beer while his son Francisco, who is “11-year-old flies plane” in the skies of Brazil. Mr. Maia has posted the footage on social media from the twin-engine plane valued at $1.7 million. But after several minutes, the plane crashed, and the father and son were killed. The incident was reported on 29 July on the state border of Rondônia and Mato Grosso.
As per the initial investigation by the police, they have revealed that the father-son duo had flown out from their farms in Nova Conquista and landed to refuel. Both took off again around 05:30 pm, but the plane crashed just after 08 minutes.
It is not clear yet who was piloting the Beechcraft Baron 58 at the time of the crash. The rescue workers found both of their bodies the next day. It has been said that Maia would fly his son back to his mother in Campo Grande, where Francisco attends his school.
After the funeral on 01 August 2023, Ana Pridonik, 27, the wife of Mr. Maia and the stepmother to Francisco, was also found dead. But the local official has reported the incident as a death by suicide by firearm.
