Have you ever thought that if you could have more than two arms, how would it go for you? How will it help you with various things which can’t be done with two hands?
Wearable Robotic Arms
Well, you have a solution now because the team of Masahiko Inami from the University of Tokyo developed wearable robotics arms that can enhance productivity to the next level. The team of Inami is developing a series of techs rooted in the idea of jizai, a Japanese term that roughly denotes autonomy and the freedom to do.
Inami said their motive is to foster a relationship between a musician and the instruments. Inami, who is behind the development of these wearable robotic arms, said that he had been inspired by Japanese puppetry and a quasi-horror short story by novelist Yasunari Kawabata which says how a man has borrowed the arm of a young woman and proceeds to spend the night with it.
Wearable Robotics arms makers said that this is not a rival to humans but will help humans do things that please them, like e-bikes or bicycles. This will support us and unlock more creativity. Inami further said that some people who have used these robotic arms feel sad after they have to remove it after using it for some time. This robotic arm can be used in search and rescue missions.
