A Founder of Healthcare Startup Walnut, Roshan Patel, reached out to a Software Developer on a Professionals Platform, LinkedIn, as she is interested in working to join our company. Unfortunately, she responds with a savage reply to a Startup’s Founder that he is still thinking about even two years later.
She responded savagely to why she would not be interested in joining his company—her Savage response to the Startup Founder went viral on Twitter.
It happened in 2021 when a healthcare Startup closed its first funding round. So the Founder and CEO of the company, Roshan Patel, start hiring and looking for potential candidates. Then he contacted the software engineer and wrote, “I run a healthcare startup and just raised in a pre-seed round. Looking for talented engineers to hire. Any interest in Chatting.”
The Software Engineer savagely replied to him and said in an exchange, “I, Roshan, just checked on Crunchbase, and my current salary is higher than your entire pre-seed round.”
The founder is still thinking about that incident two years later, and he shared that screenshot on Twitter after blurring the name of the software engineer to protect privacy.
That tweet went viral on Twitter, and more than 2.4 million times people viewed that tweet.
As per the current reports, The company has raised over $113.6M in funding in four rounds. In 2021, walnut raised $3.6 million.
