Whatsapp New Feature
Meta’s Messaging Platform, Whatsapp, Reported unlocking its new feature towards privacy for platform users. In addition, they announced they are working on a feature to allow Android beta users to Lock Chats to maintain privacy and keep them hidden.
WABetainfo reported this feature would improve the privacy experience in messaging platform. They keep their chats private using this Lock chat feature and lock the chats even in groups.
The Lock chat can only be accessed by the Fingerprint or passcode set by the users, and it is impossible to see or read chats by an unauthorized user who doesn’t know the security code to access chats. It would ask to clear chats to open it.
WhatsApp’s latest feature also makes sure to make private media for chat users locked in WhatsApp. To ensure privacy, it didn’t automatically save media to the device gallery if Chat is Locked for the contact.
This feature is currently in development and will be released in future updates. Additionally, the platform was rolling out a new text editor experience for some beta testers for Android users.
