The Yamuna River in Delhi flows above the danger mark of 205.33 meters today Morning. Delhi officials have warned for a flood alert and closed the Old Railway Bridge until further orders.

The water level of Yamuna River at ORB, Old Railway Bridge, reached an all-time high of 208.66 meters on 13 July 2023, and since then, it has been hovering around the danger mark. It again breached the danger mark on Sunday due to a surge in the discharge from the Hathnikund barrage into the river after heavy rainfall in various parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
A Railway official has announced that the movement of the trains on the Old Railway Bridge has been suspended due to the increase in the water level of the river Yamuna. So the route between Delhi and Shahdara will remain suspended, and all the trains will be diverted via New Delhi.
The India Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in the parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh till 25th July 2023. So it can affect the daily routine of Delhi People, there has been a flood alert which can impact the rescue operation, and people will suffer through the water supply.
