CometChat Raised Rs 40 Crore
Realtime Chat System, Cometchat has raised over Rs 40 Crore in venture debt from Utah-based Zions.
The company will utilize its funds to expand the business and product growth and focus on creating a presence in Europe and upgrading server data centers in an APAC region.
The aim of raising funds is to run the company for the next five years without interruptions, said Co-founder Anuj Garg.
Mumbai-Based Startup was founded in 2019 by Anuj and Anant Garj. Cometchat raised over RS 145 Crore till now from investors, including Signal Peak Ventures, Ranges Ventures, and others.
CometChat, A communication platform-as-a-service, provides a full-fledged chat system for communication with websites and apps to improve user engagement. The company says users can get real-time engagement and leads via chat, audio, and video calls.
This Startup provides a readymade solution for the business and saves their developer’s time and cost of development from scratch. Cometchat customer base increased thrice last year, and its product usage was around 300%. Apart from that, they have handled 800 million so far.

It provides SDKs, API, and widgets to the users. Now, it integrated chatGPT, an AI developed by OpenAI. The company claimed that they have a strong presence in North America.
