But in recent years, with the cast leaving the show, the show has had to go through various stages. But now the producer (Asit Modi) of this one of the most watched shows on the Channel is in controversy.
Asit Modi Accused of Sexual Harassment

Various actresses who worked at Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are now accusing the producers of the show Asit Modi of the charge of sexual harassment. Mumbai police had registered an FIR against producer Asit Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj when they got several complaints from the actress working in the show.
Police have registered the FIR under sections 354 and 509 (Assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC – Indian Penal Code.
Police have revealed that the actress who has lodged the FIR of sexual harassment has said that she has been sexually harassed a lot of times, but she has ignored it because of the fear of losing her job. Now it’s enough, and she would not keep quiet against Asit Modi. She has demanded an apology from Asit Modi by folding her hands.
The actress has said that she is not doing this for money but wants to bring the truth to everyone. She wants the accused to apologize by folding their hands because this is a matter of self-respect and dignity.
However, Asit Modi has denied all the allegations and said he would go with legal as the actress demands him and his show based on these baseless allegations. Because they have terminated her services, and now she is making these baseless allegations to damage the show.
