Air India invested $200 million into an initiative to modernize the airline’s digital system with Artificial Intelligence Bots like ChatGPT.
Air India started the Vihaan.AI transformation program. According to them, they made significant progress in modernizing their digital systems landscape.
The airline has already invested $200 million in digital engineering services, digital systems, and the digital workforce. The company expects to maintain the investment pace for the next five years to transform airlines with world-class airline services by adopting top-edge technologies to convert traditional systems to Generative AI systems.
Air India is exploring emerging trends such as quantum computers to solve complex situations in the aviation industry.
The airline is deploying new technologies to improve customer engagement on its website and mobile application and also introducing a user-friendly notification system, modern in-flight entertainment system, and real-time request tracking. Also, new technologies will be used in digital marketing, disruption management, self-service accommodation, and customer feedback process.
