A student lost his eye after getting slapped by the teacher
A Government school teacher was arrested when a five-year-old student lost his eye after getting slapped by her. This incident happened on Jan 27 when Shruti Singh was on duty in a government primary school in Nigohi, Shahjahanpur. She slapped the minor as her car got scratched because of the student.
The investigation found that the boy was already suffering from a disease. Due to this, he already lost his one eye. As a result, the teacher was booked for Indian Penal Code 323 and 326 for causing hurt and hurt by dangerous weapons or means, respectively.
Kumar Gaurav, District Basic Shiksha Adhikari, said the teacher had shared her side’s story. During the injury, while inquiring, the neighbors said that the boy was already suffering from a severe disease.
As per the online records teacher was on leave on the day of the incident, Gaurav said. Also, he said the department formed a two members committee to investigate the case, but the case is suspicious as the teacher still needs to be suspended.
