Punjab-dominated Singer Diljit Dosanjh started the Dil-Luminati tour 2024 in India on October 26 at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Apart from his melodious singing and charming personality on stage, Diljit never fails to remind the audience about his Indianness as part of the tricolour, this time as a mere handkerchief – a symbol of Indian pride. The fans were emotionally charged, with touching feelings; some of the audience members were seen to have been reduced to tears during the concert.

Diljit Dosanjh posted some of these moments on his social media. His caption, translated from Punjabi, reads as him stating how he feels happy dancing on home grounds. These videos of the event have done the rounds online and have garnered millions of views. An episode also raised the curtains as Diljit quoted, “Punjabi aa gaye apne desh (We Punjabis returned back to our country)”, evidence of being lavish shouldered globally but feeling happiness upon returning to the motherland India.
More to the delight of his fans, Diljit Dosanjh visited Bangla Sahib Gurudwara to offer prayers before the concert. Organized from December 19 and ending on December 29, the tour planned for covered cities include Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Kolkata and will end at Guwahati. On social media, fans expressed their affection, stating that the night was unforgettable and that Diljit worked hard to promote Punjabi culture around the world.
