China Deploys Warships Near Taiwan after Taiwan’s President and US Speaker Meeting. Taiwan’s defense ministry said Anti Chinese-Submarine helicopter and three warships had been detected around Taiwan’s Ruled Island. It happened when President Tsai Ing-wen met with Kevin McCarthy in Los Angeles.
1 PLA aircraft and 3 Plan vessels were detected at 6 AM Today by the Defense Ministry of Taiwan said, in a statement.
Armed Forces detected the situation and assigned CAP aircraft, Navy Vessels, and land-based missiles to respond.
The statement came after President met with the US House Speaker when she returned from a trip to Guatemala and Belize, among Taiwan’s only 13 diplomatic allies.
China had threatened in a meeting.
Taipei’s Mainland Affairs Council accused Beijing of blocking trade in the Taiwan inlet with on-site checks on cargo and traveler ships.
They are expanding the patroling in the water where island water separated from mainland China without giving any details, as had earlier said by the Chinese Maritime Authorities.
The US House Speaker said these actions from the Chinese are creating tensions in the cross-inlet trades. Also, he said it is a clear violation of the cross-water shipping agreement and its impact on both sides of traffic.
