– Pearl, a two-year-old female Chihuahua, is now officially recognized as the world's shortest living dog, measuring 9.14 cm (3.59 in) in height and 12.7 cm (5.0 in) in length.
In length, Pearl measures 12.7 cm (5.0 in) - around the same size as a dollar bill - and weighs 553 g (1.22 lb).
Despite now being over two years old, pocket-sized Pearl is still “a child at heart,” according to Vanesa.
– Pearl is the daughter of one of the identical sisters of Miracle Milly, the previous record holder who sadly passed away before Pearl was born.
– Pearl is almost seven times shorter than Jyoti Amge, the world’s shortest woman living.
– Despite her small size, Pearl has a big personality and enjoys high-quality food, dressing up, and going on shopping trips with her owner, Vanesa.
