WABetaInfo, a website that monitors WhatsApp’s latest developments, has revealed the information. The website further revealed that since the profile pictures and names are unavailable through the third-party chat integration, the app will show the default profile picture and name from the platform from where the message was received.
The app will also allow you to easily control which other app you want to connect with your WhatsApp account. However, this new feature will have a few limitations: It does not support messaging for third-party group chat, and users will also be unable to call third-party apps as the initial update was only limited to texts.
You should also know this feature is optional; you can opt out if you don’t want it. This is just Meta releasing another feature so users do not leave and stay within the app. Meta‘s new strategic move is to retain people on its platform for extended periods.
So, guys, what do you think about this new feature? Will it help you in any way? Please share your views in the comment section below.
