Tata-Airbus C-295 military aircraft manufacturing plant was recently launched in Vadodara, Gujarat, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was opened this year, indicating the success of the “Make in India” programme in India. Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus Spain recently established this facility as the first private-sector defence aircraft manufacturing centre in India. It intends to manufacture forty Tata-Airbus C-295 transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force to enhance India’s defence production capabilities.
