A 30-year-old woman from South Korea named Lee has also joined this trend of stone pets; she identified her pet stone as a girl. Moreover, she has also put eyes on her stone and made a blanket for her stone pet using an old towel. She said she used to complain about her daily problems with her stone pet.
The trend of stone pets is making the people of South Korea crazy every day. Another woman from Seoul has also said that her stone pet, Bang-bang-i, also brings a sense of serenity to her. The 33-year-old woman said she carries the stones wherever she goes, either at work or the gym.
The primary reason behind the increasing trend of stone pets is the loneliness people feel after the COVID-19 pandemic. People still are not able to move out from the effects of the pandemic and feel very lonely. So, they are using stones to remove their loneliness and mental fatigue. They share their daily challenges with their stone pets and carry them in their pockets wherever they go on walks, in gyms, or even at work.
