Australian Captain Pat Cummins has become the most expensive player in IPL history as Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him for over Rs 20 Crore in the IPL 2024 Auctions.

A bidding war was going on amongst the MI and CSK before RCB swooped in, but SRH later joined the war. There was massive bidding between SRH and RCB for the Aussies Captain, and in the end, SRH booked the Cummins.
The fast bowler was earlier the Part of the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. In IPL 2020 Auctions, KKR has signed him for Rs.15.5 crores. Cummins was released after that season and brought back by the KKR two seasons later for Rs. 7.25 crores.
Cummin, who led Team Australia to win the ODI World Cup 2023 by beating Team India in their home, has made a second-fast half-century in IPL on just 14 balls for KKR against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022. Cummins has 45 wickets on his name with an economy rate of 8.54 with 359 runs.
SRH has started the IPL 2024 auction with Rs 34 crores in their bank, but now they have left with only Rs. 5.2 crores after signing Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and Wanindu Hasaranga.
