A shocking case has been reported where a twin child who looks like spider twins has been born, having four arms and three legs. Their body is fused all together, making them look like a spider.

This is a sporadic case—one in two million. The more shocking thing is that the mother had gone through a normal pregnancy. The boys’ upper limbs function properly while their torsos are combined at the pelvis. The Spider Twins have one anus and one penis. One of their three legs is fused, and both can feel the movements.
This case has been reported in Indonesia, where the spider twins share a bladder, rectum, and intestines. The boys are the third and fourth children born to parents who do not have any history of congenital abnormalities. The mother has a normal pregnancy, and she does not take any medicines, herbal concoctions, or supplements and only goes for regular check-ups.
Due to this rare body structure, the spider twins spent the first three years lying down after birth, as they could not sit or stand unassisted. Their parents also tried to ask the doctors where it was possible to separate them. Still, doctors warned against it and decided to position the trunks vertically by reconstructing the pelvic bones, which helped the twins to stand and sit with time. Surgeons have also planned to remove the fused legs shared by both.
