As many as 14 children have been injured after getting into contact with the live wire during the Mahashivratri Festival of Rajasthan’s Kota. The incident was reported in the Sakatoura area near Kunhari police station.

The injured children have been rushed to the MBS hospital for immediate treatment. One of the kids has got 100% burn injuries and is in a very critical condition right now. One other child got 50% burn injuries, and the rest of the children suffered burn injuries of varying degrees.
According to a local, the incident happened because the wet ground caused electrocution. The incident happened when people from Kali Basti gathered to celebrate the Mahashivratri festival carrying a Kalash, and a child was carrying a 20-22 ft pipe that came into contact with a high-tension wire. The child got caught with an electric shock. Another kids who were presented there tried to save that boy but also got caught in the electrocution.
