Amir Sarfaraz Tamba was one of the accused who were behind the killing of Sarabjit Singh—the Indian prisoner in Pakistan. Randeep Hooda shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that it is Karma and said today that some justice has been served to Martyr Sarabjit Singh.
On Sunday, a group of unidentified gunmen shot on the chest of the Tamba in Sanat Nagar, Lahore. The gunmen came on a motorbike to the residence of the Tamba and started gunfire on him. The Lahore Police has registered an FIR on the complaint of Tamba’s younger brother, Junaid Sarfraz, against two unidentified assailants.
Sarabjit Singh passed away in 2013 at Jinnah Hospital Lahore due to cardiac arrest after being comatose for nearly a week following a brutal assault by inmates inside Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore.
Sarabjit was found guilty of taking part in several bombings in the Punjab province of Pakistan in 1990 and was given the death penalty. However, his family in India said he had been a victim of mistaken identity. His sister Dalbir Kaur has fought a long battle to release him from jail, but she failed.
