The event which transpired in one of the most recognized RG Kar Medical College facility in the state has not only concerned and disturbed the people but also the authorities in the rest of the country. In connection of this investigation, CBI filed a new status report which contain the information and progress of investigation to the Supreme Court of India.
The fact that the court assumed jurisdiction of the case without being prodded by any petition goes to show how heinous the crime is.
