IMD has issued a high rain alert for the various cities of Punjab and Haryana for the next couple of days. As per the Indian Meteorological Department, there are high rain chances in various areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan from 08 Jan – 10 Jan 2024.

The wind direction in Punjab has started changing, and the people of Punjab will get relief soon from this harsh weather. IMD forecasted that as soon as the rain ends and the alert is lifted after two days, the weather of the Punjab tends to be apparent from the mist and fog.
The Health Department has also advised people to care for children and adults in this cold weather. As per the advisory, people have been urged to wear warmer clothes and cover themself properly to avoid the exposure of cold.
