The leaders of Norway, Spain, and Ireland have said they will recognize Palestine as a state from 28 May 2024 for peace in the Middle East.

PM of Norway, Jonas Gahr Store, has said that a two-state solution is in the best interest of Israel. He further said there will be no peace in the Middle East if they do not recognize it. He said that tens of thousands have died in the Gaza War and we must find a political solution for Israel and Palestine alike: Two States living side by side in peace.
Shortly after Norway’s recognition, the PM of Ireland announced that they also recognized it.
