Pakistan’s Spinners emerged victorious while chasing a target of 63 in the second Test on Friday with centuries from Babar Azam and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan after Noman Ali and Sajid Khan scalped all the English wickets. The pair powered Pakistan to a 152-run victory in their first home test triumph in over five years. Noman Ali, the left-arm spinner, shone through and was the bowler of the match, having 8-46 in the second innings and 11 wickets overall. He was very good with the ball and contributed to getting England all out for 144 before the fourth day.

England lost four of their key players before 50 runs on a dry, turning pitch that suicide England’s batsmen, especially spinners. Off-spinner Sajid Khan also contributed to the victory. Coulter-Nile bowled 7-111 in the first innings, and he followed by taking 2-93 in the second innings. Pakistan’s spinners used their arms to the hilt and, in continuation, sliced through England’s team, as the tourists had no reply to the turning ball.
Earlier, Pakistan had comfortably made 297 runs, which proved out of England’s reach on the turning pitch. The win was somewhat a relief to Pakistan as the team needed a boost at home but showcased yet again how Pakistan has strong spin bowling consistencies.
