If you want to save yourself from the issue of double toll charges, do this thing today; otherwise, your Fastag might be blacklisted.
Last Date to Update Fastag KYC
As per the new highway rules, today is the last date to update your Fastag KYC; if you fail to do so, then your Fastag will be blacklisted, all the money in your account will become worthless, and also you will have to pay double toll taxes because of the blacklist. So, to save you from double charges, update your KYC before midnight today. Earlier, the deadline for updating KYC was 31 January 2024, which has been extended to 29 February 2024.
What is the Fastag?
It has a digital method of deducting toll taxes while vehicles move through the national highways. In this method, a tag is installed on the car’s windscreen, and using RFID methods, toll taxes are deducted from that tag, which has been linked to the driver’s bank account or the prepaid instruments linked to the tag. So when the car with the tag installed on it reaches the Toll, the system scans the tag, and the money is deducted to simplify the toll tax collecting process.
