Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) boss and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra on Friday led a dissent in Mysuru, requesting a Focal Department of Examination (CBI) test into the supposed Mysuru Metropolitan Improvement Authority (MUDA) scam. The party’s call for an impartial investigation into the scandal that has rocked the state is brought to light by the protest. The MUDA scam, which includes the claimed misappropriation of over Rs 5000 crores, has become a point of converging political conflict in Karnataka. Vijayendra and other BJP leaders insist that the state government’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) is conducting an inadequate and biased investigation, stressing the importance of transparency.

During the dissent close to the Tollbooth, police kept Vijayendra alongside a few party leaders. Vijayendra remained steadfast in his demands despite the detentions. There ought to be a thorough investigation. He emphasized the need for a CBI-led investigation, stating, “The state government cannot lead an SIT investigation. The demand for an investigation was only one aspect of Vijayendra’s accusations. He claimed that the scam was carried out by the family of the state’s Chief Minister (CM). Vijayendra declared, “When the CM himself is involved in this MUDA scam, he should resign.”
He also said that the allegations of corruption involve not only the CM’s family but also several ministers and their families. This is a trick of more than Rs 5000 crores. The CM cannot avoid accountability. He should answer to the people of Karnataka because he is the state’s chief minister, Vijayendra asserted, calling for transparency and accountability. The MUDA scam has overshadowed the Karnataka government and prompted numerous calls for an in-depth investigation. The BJP’s demand for a CBI investigation aims to guarantee that the allegations will be investigated fairly, which could have significant political repercussions in the state.
