Very horrible news has come from the Churachandpur of Manipur, where on Thursday night, a mob of 300-400 people tried to storm the office of SP in the Churachandpur, Manipur, after the suspension of one of the Kuki Police personnel who had been seen in a video of armed people.

After the suspension of Kuki police personnel, the people took a violent turn and tried to storm the SP office in town. A mob of 300-400 people pelted stones and tried other violent activities to breach the SP’s office.
It has been reported that at least one person died, and several others were injured due to this violent incident on Thursday night. Some videos have surfaced online, which show the mob had burned some police vehicles and set the office of the district collector ablaze.
Police, in a statement, said that security forces, including RAF, had used tear gas to control the people, and now the situation is under control as of Thursday night. Internet services have been suspended after that incident to prevent the spread of misinformation and to prevent further escalation of violent activities.
ITLF, referring to the looting of arms from the 5th IRB in Imphal East on Tuesday, said that the police had allowed the weapons to be taken without any resistance, and none of the police had taken any action. There are numerous personnel accountable for this violence that took place in the Churachandpur of Manipur. Furthermore, they said that if the SP does not act reasonably, we will not allow him to remain in any tribal area. They gave him the ultimatum to leave within 24 hours; otherwise, he would be responsible for the future course of action.
