Khushboo Gupta, a dietician traveling on an Indigo flight, has shared a disturbing video on her Instagram social media account, which shows how the sandwich she got from the flight had a live worm crawling on it.

Khushboo is from Delhi, and she said she took off on the flight from the nation’s capital to Mumbai on the morning of 29 December 2023. While booking the flight, she also paid for the veggie sandwich. But when she took a bite of her veg sandwich during the flight, she was shocked to see that a live worm was crawling on the sandwich.
When she complained about this to the flight staff, it was even more shocking because she got a very casual response when she asked them to inform the other passengers so they could choose whether they wanted to eat their food.
Despite the complaint, the staff continued to serve the veg sandwiches to other passengers; Khusboo Gupta shared on her Instagram profile that the Indigo flight had children and elders on that flight, and what if someone was caught with any infection?
The response she got from the staff was that they would replace her sandwich with another food item. The staff returned with some other food, but Khusboo refused to accept the food and said she did not want any refund. Her motive is that the airline should think about the safety of its passengers.
However, the airline has said that they are sorry that their passenger had to face this incident of live worms crawling on the sandwich; they are working on safety measures with their caterer to ensure the safety and security of their food.
