Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Union Budget 2024-25. She said that the economy of India is going well, and thus, the budget is focusing more on empowering women, farmers, youth, and the poorest population.

Sitharamn has said that their primary focus of Budget 2024-25 is now on the poor, farmers, women, and the youth. Now, the government will focus on empowering women, enhancing the farmers’ income, and creating more jobs for the Indian youth. She added during her Budget Speech that the Indian Economy is doing well with the “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas,” and they have successfully controlled inflation.

- Further, Sitharaman has also said that the minimum support prices for the crops are periodically increased as they focus on empowering farmers by increasing their incomes. She added that around 11.8 crore farmers receive direct financial help annually under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. Also, more than four crore farmers are getting crop insurance under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
