Iran’s news agencies have reported an explosion at an airport in the central city of Isfahan, but the cause of the explosion has not yet been revealed. Iran has suspended all flights over Shiraz, Isfahan, and Tehran.
Iran’s several nuclear sites are located in Isfahan province, including the Natanz, which is a centerpiece of the uranium enrichment program of Iran. Israel has already warned that it will retaliate against the weekend attack of Iran, in which Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation for a suspected strike on its embassy compound in Syria. However, most of the drones and missiles of Iran have been shot down before they can enter the territory.
