Pandya has already played with Mumbai before joining the Gujrat Titans in 2022. He has led GT to reach the semi-finals of IPL in 2022 and 2023, where, in 2022, GT got the IPL trophy, and in 2023, they also had a brilliant performance.
If the trade happens, Mumbai Indians will have to pay a hefty amount of around 15 Crores INR with an undisclosed transfer fee, out of which Hardik Pandya will get 50% of the transfer fee. However, the teams have not made any comment on this yet. To make this trade happen, MI needs to arrange a vast amount of funds as they have left with only Rs. 5,00,000. They might release some of their players, like Jofra, to settle this trade. However, all this will be clear on the final date of the auction.
Hardik Pandya started his IPL career in 2015 with Mumbai Indians and played with them for seven seasons before shifting to Gujrat Titans. Pandya has scored 1,476 runs for the five-time IPL willner in 92 matches and also took 42 wickets for them.
And for Gujrat, Pandya has scored 833 runs and took 11 wickets in 31 games of their two seasons. His success with the GT has even got him a potential spot for the captaincy of the Indian Cricket Team numerous times for ODIs and T20s.
