Yesterday, we saw a record-breaking match between SRH and MI, in which many records were broken. SRH scored 277 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, the highest-ever score in the IPL history. They also broke the record of RCB of 263 runs in 2013.

However, many people blame Hardik Pandya‘s questionable decisions in yesterday’s match for these high scores. Only one team can win a match, so there are consistently winning or losing in any match. But somehow, people are linking the defeat of the MI with the poor decision-making of hardik Pandya, the newly appointed captain of the Mumbai Indians. Because of his choice of bowlers, SRH’s three players could score more than 50 runs and set a target of 278 for the MI.
It has been stated that Pandya started making mistakes from the start of the match as he could not read the pitch. Perhaps that might be why he chose to bowl first instead of batting, even after winning the toss. Mumbai Indians have many champion players, but how they use their 100% depends on the captain’s choices.
One of the significant mistakes Hardik Pandya is making is not using Jasprit Bumrah much in the first ten overs; he made the same mistake in their first match as well against GT. Instead of using Jasprit, Pandya is going to bowl, and then he brings Kwan Mafaka, who is not as experienced as Bumrah, to play with a new ball. And when Bumrah has been brought in 4th over, Travis Head had already gone into the beast mode.
Only the fourth over of the first ten overs was delivered without a boundary, and that was of Bumrah. But why did Pandya not bring him first and give him more overs? What was his plan? What are your views? Please let us know in the comment section below.
