The 17-year-old Chess Grandmaster won the FIDE Candidates 2024 in Canada by scoring 9 points in 14 rounds. He also made history by becoming the youngest chess player to win FIDE Candidates. He became the second Indian, after five-time world Champion Viswanathan Anand, to win this competition.
By winning the FIDE Candidates 2024, Gukesh D has become the youngest World Chess Championship Contender, making India more proud.
