According to the reports, the primary reason for these Google layoffs is a reorganization. Google has asked employees from various teams to leave, especially from Python, Dart, and Flutter. However, the company has not yet revealed the exact number of layoffs.
One of the tech giant’s spokespeople said the company aims to give employees more opportunities to work on their most innovative and essential advances while reducing the layers and bureaucracy.
However, Google has asserted that the laid-off employees will be supported in finding jobs both within the company in other roles and outside the company. Google CEO Sundar Pichai had already warned that Google layoffs will be in phases this year, unlike in 2023, when 12,000 employees were asked to leave the company immediately.
