LSG lost to SRH by ten wickets, which was the most embarrassing-ever defeat of the LSG. After this defeat, the owner of the LSG, Goenka, met with KL Rahul and head coach Justin Langer on the field and then was seen berating both of them.
Goenka’s expressions indicated he was furious after SRH destroyed LSG badly by achieving their target of 166 runs in less than ten overs. However, after scolding KL Rahul publicly, Sanjiv Goenka has received backlash from many people.
However, Gautam Gambhir did not miss this chance and took a jab at the LSG owner by saying Shah Rukh Khan is one of the best franchise owners he had ever worked with. Gambhir has expressed what makes King Khan unique from the other IPL franchise owners. Gautam Gambhir said he has a fabulous relationship with Shah Rukh Khan and is the best owner I have ever worked with in the history of IPL. The reason is not only that SRK is very grounded and humble, but numerous other reasons make him one of the best franchise owners.
He added that SRK has not interfered in cricket matters, which is a big deal for someone like me as I now have all the freedom to make decisions. He has a lot of trust in me, and no matter my decision, he will always be there to back me up, which is one of the reasons we have better results.
