The Chinese man used more than 4600 smartphones to get fake live-stream views and increase revenue. The accused, with the last name Wang, has been found guilty of the “Crime of illegal business operations” and has been sentenced to one year and three months of jail imprisonment along with a fine of 7,000 dollars.
He has used 4600 smartphones to increase the view counts and traffic on his live-stream videos. According to the reports, Wang registered his company in 2022 after learning about the “lucrative practice,” which is also known as brushing. Fake live-stream views mimic viewer counts, likes, comments, and shares during the live streams to deceive viewers into believing that the stream is authentic.
The Chinese man bought 4600 smartphones with specific cloud software and network hardware, including switchers, routers, and VPNs, to execute fake live-stream views practice. After that, Wang was able to use all those smartphones at one time to increase the views on his live streams and push his content to attract people. One of the primary sources of his earnings was Tiktok.
Wang has revealed that the cost of using one mobile phone was less than 1 USD a day, and the cost of his services would be determined by the active number of mobile phones and the duration to which they have connected during the live stream. He used this to offer services to other people who wanted to increase their online appearance, which helped him earn more than three crores in Indian Rupees in less than four months.
