In the recent CinemaCon event, Disney unveiled some scenes from a sequel to Moana, which has created discussions around the island heroine. The first glimpse of this footage was given by actor Dwayne Johnson, the man behind the voice of the character Maui, who even danced with the traditional Polynesian dancers who represented the true Hawaiians. Johnson claimed out loud how inscribed he was to Maui and said that the role changed his life. He then mentioned that at some point in time, Polynesian culture could make it on the big screen for the world once again.

He narrates Moana’s new voyage after a call comes to her from her ancestors, asking her to sail to places not known in Oceania. Disney guarantees a beautiful image and new songs to mesmerize the audience, appealing to the enchanting spirit of the film. During his keynote address, Johnson said that Moana 2 would be a perfect movie to take the audience to an island when it is released on November 27, 2024. On the same, Johnson also received the NATO Spirit of the Industry, which was credited to his devotion to theatrical releases even as Hollywood transitioned.
Moana 2 takes its cue from its timely and very-well-launched first movie animation in combination with the unfolding of a new and beautiful Disney forte, the unique grand great story adventure tale. The fantastic teaser shows that Disney does not leave the adventures of the ocean in the animation genre and will continue to produce animated films for those who are waiting for Moana’s next moves.
