Both teams have been reached in Chennai to kickstart the IPL. However, the Chennai Super Kings have bad news: Two of the team’s star players will not be able to play the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The two key players of CSK, Devon Conway and Mathisha Pathirana, are going through an injury due to which they will miss the first match of IPL 2024, and Chennai Super Kings might have to face huge losses.
Team Yellow won the IPL last year for the fifth time under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and the dedication of all the team players, which includes the efforts of Devon Conway and Mathisha Pathirana. Devon Conway has played 16 matches in IPL 2023 and scored 672 runs at a strike rate of 139.71, averaging 51.69. This match also includes his unbeatable inning of 92 runs, his best inning in IPL.
Mathisha Pathirana played 12 matches in the last session, took 19 wickets, and bowled on an average of 19.53. However, we will be able to see Rachin Ravindra and Mustafizur Rahman in the absence of these two-star players of CSK.
