Speakers at the dissent featured explicit occurrences where they accepted the ED and CBI were abused to target political rivals, compromising the organizations’ fairness and uprightness. In his address to the gathering, Rahul Gandhi accused the government of subverting democratic principles and emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in these central agencies’ operations.
The opposition’s more significant concerns regarding the independence of India’s enforcement and investigation central agencies were brought to light by the protest. MPs called for immediate corrective measures to prevent further misuse, and allegations of selective targeting and harassment were prominent themes.
