The Nationwide Bus and Truck Drivers protest has hit its second day today, resulting in a lot of rushing and queuing at the petrol pumps because of the shortage of the supply of petrol and diesel.

All the truck drivers have come on strike after the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita announced the new law for hit-and-run cases. As per this new law, if anyone has died due to the negligence of the driving of the truck drivers and the driver has run from the spot without informing the police, then he must face imprisonment of up to 10 years with a fine of Rs. 7 lakhs.
Rajendra Kapoor the president of the All India Motor & Goods Transport Association said that the law has been passed without the consultation with the association, they should have talk and discuss before passing this new hit and run law. The bus and truck drivers protest has been held by the All India Motor & Goods Transport Association for the discussion on this new law. The new law has created a situation of chaos, and most people are unaware of the new regulation of hit-and-run law.
Since Monday, the protesters have blocked the roads and highways in various states of India, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. On Tuesday, this truck drivers protest affected the movement of more than 5 lakh vehicles in MP.
