According to reports, personal information such as the names, emails, contact numbers, and addresses of over 7.5 million boAt users has been leaked and sold online on the dark web. India’s one of the most significant audio products and smartwatch company has not yet commented on this boAt data breach.
The data leaked on the dark web is around 2 GB, disclosed by the hacker on a forum. The breach was committed by the hacker ShopifyGUY on 05 April 2024, and the authenticity of the data was confirmed by contacting the customers who made purchases from the company.
