The suspect was narrowed down with the help of the CCTV camera installed above the cafe counter. The man is wearing a grey denim shirt with a plate of idli in the footage. He was also seen carrying a bag on his shoulders, which might carry the improvised explosive device used in the Bengaluru cafe blast.
However, further investigation has claimed that the IED was in another bag that the suspect had left behind in the cafe. The blast occurred at 12:30 pm on Friday in Rameshwaram Cafe, one of the most popular eatery cafes in Kundalahalli. As many as ten people have been injured due to this low-intensity bomb blast.
As per the police report, a young man between the ages of 28 and 30 came to the cafe around 12:30 pm on Friday; he purchased Rava Idli, placed a bag near a tree adjacent to the cafe, and left.
The police have registered the case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) and Substances Act and started the investigation.
