ED has revealed that they found 150-page documents during the raid at Kejriwal’s residence, including the names of the probe agency officials. Now, they’re likely to take action against him. ED has also filed a caveat in the Supreme Court, requesting the court to hear their side before coming to any conclusion about Arvind Kejriwal’s petition.
ED filed the caveat just after the news of the Supreme Court being ready to listen to Kejriwal’s plea on an urgent basis regarding the Enforcement Directorate’s arrest in the Delhi liquor policy case. A unique bench of three, including Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Bela Dwivedi, and Justice MM Sundresh, will listen to the plea of the arrested Kejriwal.
The probe agency will likely provide evidence against the Delhi CM for the first time today. They have also recorded the candidates’ statements from the AAP party of Goa, which confirm that they were paid cash to fight in the elections. The probe agency says that these AAP candidates were paid with the same money received by AAP in the liquor policy scam from South Carolina.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on Thursday when the ED reached his home for interrogation and searching for evidence related to the Delhi Liquor Policy Case.
