Air India Express has canceled over 70 domestic and international flights due to the mass sick leave taken by the crew. The crew members took sick leave as a protest against the alleged mismanagement at the Tata Group-owned airline.

According to sources, several crew members have reported being sick since Monday morning, leading to a crew shortage. As a result, Air India Express has to cancel many flights, including those to Calicut, Kochi, and Bengaluru.
Last Month, a union representing a section of the Air India Express cabin crew made allegations of mismanagement and lack of equality in the staff’s treatment. The Air India Express employee union, representing around 300 crew members, has also alleged that the mismanagement of affairs has affected employee morale.
Various users took to social media about the sudden cancellation of the air flights, to which the company responded and said that the passengers could opt for a full refund through their chatbot, Tia, or reschedule the flight within seven days.
